- The candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/DA/PWD) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

What are the test syllabus, duration and format?
CAT is a computer based test, conducted in multiple cities.
The Syllabus consists of:
- Quantitative Ability
- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning
Seating arrangement, blood relations, clocks and calendars, Venn Diagram, Sets, Syllogisms, Puzzles, Assumptions.Quantitative Ability:
Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, etc.Data Interpretation:
Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), etc.Verbal Ability:
Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, para completion, fact inference judgement etc.

Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), the premier business-schools of India conduct this test for selecting potential students for the next round of admission process for their MBA and Fellowship programmes.
