SRM University Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2017

SRMJEEE is an entrance exam conducted by the SRM University for admission to the under graduate engineering courses offered by the university.

What is the test about?

SRMJEEE is conducted by the SRM University for admission to various engineering (B.Tech) programs offered by the university. The marks obtained in the exam act as the primary criterion for the candidate’s admission in the institution. 

Who is eligible?

  • The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • The candidates should have passed the 10+2 or its equal exam from the recognized schools having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in their 12th.
  • The candidates must have obtained a minimum 65% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the 12th or equivalent exam (for Kattankulathur Campus) and 60% marks in the aforementioned subject of 12th or equivalent exam (for other campuses).

What are the test syllabus, duration and format?


  • Physics

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes


  • The Physics, Chemistry and Math sections will comprise 35 questions each and the Biology section will have 50 questions. Each section will carry a total weightage of 105 marks. 
  • The exam will have negative marking in the question paper i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 0.7 marks in Biology.
