What is the test about?

WBJEE Medical is a state level medical entrance exam. It is conducted to offer admission in various undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BDS and Pharm seats in Central and state government colleges.

Who is eligible?

Applicants are eligible for WBJEE 2016 medical examination only if they satisfy following condition:

Applicants have to be at least 17 years of age at the time of taking admission or should complete on or before 31st December, 2015.

Applicants passed in Higher Secondary Certificate examination or its equivalent examination can apply for the examination.

Applicants must have scored at least 50% of aggregate marks in Higher Secondary Examination in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects to apply for the examination (40% in case of SC/ST and 45% in case of OBC category)

Applicants must also have studied English as their compulsory subject and should score at least 30% of marks to apply for the examination.

Candidates have to appear in the subjects - Biological Sciences, Physics & Chemistry

Biological Sciences  >> Category 1 (90 X 1 mark)  >> Category 2 (15 X 2 marks) >> Category 3 (15 X 2 marks)

Physics  >> Category 1 (30 X 1 mark)  >> Category 2 (5 X 2 marks) >> Category 3 (5 X 2 marks)
Total Marks (50)

Chemistry  >> Category 1 (30 X 1 mark)  >> Category 2 (5 X 2 marks) >> Category 3 (5 X 2 marks)
Total Marks (50)

Grand Total: 250

Exam Duration:
Biological Sciences - Three Hours
Physics & Chemistry - Two Hours
