At its top there is one dot, which stands for Ahimsa or Non- violence. The three dots below it stand for Truth, Peace and Sacrifice. The 'Swastika' below it stands for auspiciousness. Next, there is the sign of the hand which stands for Abhaya or assurance, that whoever protects dharma or righteousness is himself protected. The wheel in the hand stands for social progress. There are 24 spokes in the wheel, which stand for the 24 Tirthankaras. The sun at the back signifies light. Just as the sun dispels darkness, the school dispels ignorance. The arch bears the motto, 'Ahimsa Paramo Dharmaha', meaning 'Non-violence is the noblest principle'.
