Junior School Library
G.C.P.S offers its library facilities to their students.
The junior school library has a good collection of over 6000 books of reference, non-fiction and fiction books. New books arrive several times through the school year. The junior school is open to students and staff from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm. Regular scheduled classes are held weekly in the library for story telling and developing library skills. Students may use the library, when they are working on special projects.

The school provides an excellent facility for parking of all kinds of vehicles in the campus.
The health of all students is of vital concern. The school staff realizes the importance of keeping your child healthy and happy. Children who become ill at school are sent home, when necessary, after we've contacted the parents through the school nurse. Medication can be administered (with your written permission) at the school through the health office.
The school provides bus service. Children are picked up and dropped at their residence or asclose to the residence.
The school bus arrives at school by 8.30 a.m. Your stop, the time of pick up and the fee must be arranged at the time of school registration.
Extra Curricular Activities
Educational success begins with the building blocks of Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Green Country Public School enhances these basics with opportunities for creativity in critical thinking and problem solving.
We are dedicated to challenging the students with subject matter tailored to meet the needs of each individual.Additional instructions are given to integrate the curriculum with sports, the fine arts, music and computers that are important components of developing a well-rounded student. The school has a well-equipped computer laboratory, which runs windows. The children from prep II use the lab facility. A variety of extracurricular courses are available/designed to introduce students to new areas of interest and to provide meaningful learning experiences. Instructional recreational courses like basketball, cricket and tennis, taught by qualified instructors, who provide an opportunity to accept the challenges of learning new skills and activities or to pursue some old favourites.
Student performance is not measured by examinations for classes Kindergarten to grade 3. However, assessment will be based on the following.
Children receive written commentaries emphasizing the strengths and weakness that help parents and teachers understand and help their child, thus accelerating the rate and efficiency of learning Grade upwards will have two-examinations at the end of each term.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL SUPERVISION
Unless children are participating in authorized before and after school activities, they should go directly home after school. We provide no before and after school supervision.
G.C.P.S Considers communication between parents and school important. You will receive G.C.P.S News periodically and notices/ circulars throughout the year, to update you about your school events/ activities.We communicate student progress in many ways, both formal and informal.Written commentaries serve as assessments. Parent/teacher conferences will be held to discuss your child's academic, social emotional and co-curricular progress. Informal conferences are encouraged wherever teachers or parents have concern before and after school timings.
PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
Communication between school and home regarding a Child's progress is vital. To help facilitate this communication Parent Teacher meeting will be held once a month.
CLASSROOM VISIT BY PARENTS
During the academic year, you are welcome to visit the classroom 'At work'. As a courtesy, please contact the Principal or the teacher before making classroom visitations.
Co-curricular activities play a very important role in education, widening its scope and making it meaningful. The school organizes various inter-school competitions and a variety of activities like debate, elocution, music, dance and painting. Every child in every class is provided with an opportunity to choose and take part in an activity of his liking. Talents are constantly developed and children get an opportunity to display them during Talent Hunt Progammes, Sports day, School Annual Day and at various inter-school competitions.
The school encourages parents to be actively involved in the Child's learning process thereby being able to bring out successful and caring humans. The school Campus is spread over an area of 2.5 acres of land which is located at Sy.No 106/7,opp to Kodigehalli Cross Bus stop, Bellary Road, Bangalore-560092. The built up area of the school is 20,000 sq ft. with spacious classrooms of the size 21' x 33'. The infrastructure of the school provides facilities such as - a junior school library, indoor sports, basketball court, lawn tennis court, kindergarten outdoor adventure, science center, art studio, musical instruments, a computer lab, class library and audio visual aids. Each classroom is equipped with latest facilities like - a writing area, class library, reading corner, with a carpet and a word wall.
Bulletin Boards are also provided to display students work and serve as teaching aids.
