Nursery classrooms are spacious, well ventilated & situated in a separate building which has a safe & calm environment. They are furnished with comfortable desks, benches, cupboards & large writing boards.
The nursery section has a separate library where there are varieties of books & periodicals available for young children. The kids spend their time enjoying during the library period.
In addition the nursery section has an Audio Visual Room where all the audio visual information is available for education & recreation.
The building has adequate open space where children can play on slides, sand pit, see-saw, swing, rocking toys, various ball games & a separate water area. Keeping in view the importance of learning through extra-curricular activities right from the nursery, our school has introduced “Edu Sports” & “Jump Bunch” which help the kids to learn many indoor & outdoor games.
The Nursery Unit has its own resource room which has trained special instructors. Slow learners are identified & given special attention to improve their hidden skills & learning abilities.
Information technology transcends every sphere of human activity. Quality training is provided to the students in our fully equipped computer lab. At the primary level, students are introduced to Computer Basics, Programming in LOGO & Q Basic language and applications like MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. At the high school level, they are introduced to FrontPage, Visual Basic and HTML.
An attractive and well furnished library is arranged for the benefit of the children. A number of useful books are augmented year by year. The reading room is also attached to the library. The facilities provided may be best utilized by the students under the guidelines of their respective teachers and librarians as this would inculcate in them an attitude of self-study and provide an opportunity to improve the general knowledge and finally feel fit for the academic test.
The library is open during vacations for the forenoon session. Students can make use of the facility to enhance their knowledge and spend their time qualitatively.
The technology of Multi-Media which makes learning & teaching more interesting and innovativehas been introduced along with the conventional method of black board teaching.
We are happy to announce video viewing facilities for all the students of our school from Nursery to Std. X. The cassettes chosen are marketed by Government affiliated organisations or internationally renowned companies. The subject matter of the cassettes are concentrated on syllabus– oriented topics such as Physics / Chemistry / Maths / Electronics for higher classes and Wild life /Rhymes / Fairy Tales, etc. for lower classes. Documentaries that are informative, educational and entertaining are also included. Similarly, quality Audio Tapes / CDs are played to supplement the school educational and cultural activities.
This council is constituted to formulate disciplinary rules and regulations to inculcate discretionary powers and better opportunities for the children to solve their disciplinary problems themselves. Principal is the Chairperson. Other members or deputies will be chosen by her to serve the cause of discipline.
Keeping in view the heavy vehicular traffic on roads, overcrowded autorickshaws and vans carrying school going children, the School Management has taken the herculean task of providing a fleet of buses for its students so that every child can be assured of proper transportation with the required comforts and ensure regularity and punctuality in coming to school. Currently a fleet of 20 buses cater to the transport needs of the students.
NIE classes are held every week, students are trained in life skills and in various other fields by well trained facilitators. Language skills are enhanced through reputed news-papers such as The Hindu, The Times of India and Deccan Herald. Children are guided to design their own news-papers and write articles. Different aspects of social skills and to be humane are also stressed on.
We have tied up with an organisation called SAAHAS, which will train housekeeping staff on segregation of school waste for recycling. It will also motivate students and staff on waste re-cycling.
Eduflex is an interactive website accessible for students, staff and parents of Sudarshan Vidya Mandir. All the communications from the school like Report cards, Circulars, Memo, Notices, Assignments and Projects etc. will be uploaded regularly.

a. Students Counselling Services
Specially qualified student counsellors are appointed to help the students to enhance study skills. Parental and teacher counselling is also done as and when required with the permission of the Principal.
b. Resource facility
Special Educators / Facilitators are available to meet the needs of the students with learning disability. Various steps are taken for the learning process as and when required according to the functional level of each child.
The School Management has provided a Drop Box in the school premises to facilitate the payment of fees through cheques. Parents are required to drop the crossed cheques in this box.
