Established in 2003 to provide a unified program with Indian and Western system for Asian and American children in North America to prepare them to meet global standards and expectations. This year we launched our first international school in India. The activities at Arise 'n' Shine were carefully researched and designed by parents and teachers with practical approach for child development from real life problem solving, creative thinking and exploration. Our philosophy is based upon the following set of principles in child development. Children must have some control over the direction of their learning. Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing. Children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore and Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.

This is where your child starts their day through meaningful experiences like storytelling, singing songs, Show ‘n’ Tell and matching games. Children learn to express their ideas, associate the written word with the spoken word and discover their world independently.
Children have the opportunity to have hands-on, real-life activities that encourage a sense of discovery.
Children experience art through the freedom of touching, feeling, pulling, twisting, tearing, pasting, bending, scraping, cutting, pounding, shaping, and many more. They are learning about various relationships, sharpening their powers of observation, beginning the process of logical thinking, and developing motor skills.
This area promotes early literacy. We provide a rich environment that encourages each child to enjoy reading and writing. We encourage them to choose to read on their own, seek information in books and see themselves as readers.
Music activities give children opportunities to use their entire bodies for learning and exploring their surroundings, to build awareness by listening to the many kinds of sounds and to help children experience the release and freedom of body movement.
Home Living Area
We have dress-up clothes, props and child-sized furniture that invite children to make believe. They try new careers, learn to share, make friends and express different emotions. Children also learn life skills like turning knobs on and off or buttoning and zipping clothes.
This is an area where children can stack and count blocks to help them learn measurements, size, weight and number concepts. Children learn sorting and counting skills, placing materials in order and patterning. Through manipulating small materials, children will also begin to understand basic concepts such as big/little, large/small, similar and different.
Children will get an opportunity to explore the electronic world of computers. They are introduced to basic computer concepts and computer care and are encouraged to enjoy their experience by discovery.
Outdoor Play Area
Outdoor play is the extension of the classroom at Arise ‘n’ ShineTM. They develop concepts like eye-hand coordination, up/down, high/low, in/out/around, over/under, and backward/sideways/forward skills. Problem solving skills are developed when learning to get from one place to another.
