A Krishnamurti School concerns itself with education of the total human being. Knowledge and intellectual capability alone are not sufficient to meet life’s challenges. Learning to enquire, to observe oneself, to relate with other people and the earth, is the core intention of the school.
A Krishnamurti School is a constantly questioning, evolving institution, with the intention of creating an environment, a climate where one can bring about, if at all possible, a new human being. It is imperative therefore that parents and students understand and appreciate the intention of the school and actively participate in this movement.

Extra Curricular Activities
Complete education is impossible without sensorial learning and encouraging various forms of expression. In Junior school, students learn a wide variety of skills to express themselves creatively. In the later years, students opt for activities which include art, weaving, clay work, carpentry, home-craft and dance.
The purpose of ‘Activity’ in the school curriculum is to give the students the opportunity to engage in a learning different from academic learning, to work with their hands and to explore different forms of expression and creativity. Activity is part of the weekly timetabled events in Junior and Middle School.
The School KFI strives to create and sustain an atmosphere of learning so that children, in the words of J Krishnamurti, may “flower in goodness”. Knowledge, intellectual capacity and technological prowess alone have never been sufficient to meet life’s challenges. To live, one must remember, is to be related. And to be a complete human being we must continually learn and grow in mindful relatedness – to people, things, ideas, nature and, above all, to one’s inner self. The School KFI offers the space for the exploration of such an education.
