The school came into being in 1983 with only as many as seventy five students and nine teachers. The school is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi .Along with the prescribed syllabus, Transcendental Meditation, Yogasana and Pranayama became the integral part of the curriculum.

With the blessings of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogiji, the school came into projection during the year 1983 with the motto “Knowledge is structured in Consciousness”. It is a co-educational school following the re-organised pattern of education of 10 + 2 years of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi for the classes from Kindergarten to Std. XII. Transcendental Meditation, Yogasana and Pranayama is an the integral part of the Curriculum.
During the year 1984 – 85, a Bus and a Van were purchased. A Library and a Mini Lab were set up in 1985-86. A full fledged Work Experience department came into existence in the year 1986-87. Music and Dance Departments also came into being.
In 1998 – 99, the noble gesture extended from the Staff Council to the needy was a special feature. The dawn of the Millennium (1999 – 2000) ushered in the introduction of service movements Guides / Scouts / Bulbuls / Cubs / Bunnys – the inauguration of MVM Bala Bhavan, Botanical Garden – The Alumni Association was formed and the Activity hour was allotted to hone the creative instincts of the students through Fine Arts and Sports – NCC Junior Division remained a new venture. The teaching faculty was trained to use Computer as a tool in class room teaching. In the year 2001-2002 the ITEC Course under the auspices of Anna University made its headway. A Newtonian telescope was installed in the campus to know about the Planetary System. Inter School Maths Science Meet held regular assembly programmes. Pronouncing game in English, Checking Sessions, Lunch hour talk along with Yogasanas, Transcendental Meditation, Gita Chanting became mandatory. Student’s and Teacher’s participation increased in the Inter School Contests. The First ever Chess Championship was conducted in the premises during the 2001-2002 with 201 participants from across the country.
In the year 2002-2003, the student strength increased to 2964 and teaching faculty to 91. Well equipped Science Laboratories, sophisticated Computer Lab with Multimedia Projector, Lan, Internet and the new editions of books on wide range of topics in Library remained a new add on. National Green Corps and Junior Red Cross Clubs came into being.
The new introductions during the year 2003-2004 were the upgraded infrastructural facilities including elevator, Canteen and Aqua Guard Purifier.
In the Bidecennial year, Karuna Club came into existence with regular Guest Lectures and Personality Development courses conducted at regular intervals.
The year 2004-2005 provided a new ray of hope in the launching of new projects in multi dimension – the students became the regular recipients of Rajyapuraskar Award and Rashtrapathi Award at the National and State Levels. The inaugural function of the North Block and ISO Certification 9001:2000 on 4th July, 2004 was a red letter day in the history of the institution. Self employment programme was launched – Kalai Valar Mandram was christened into Kalavarshini. The live 1930 episode of Dandi March by 267 students of Std. V won recognition at the National Level. Table Tennis Academy with intensive coaching was imparted in the premises. Maharishi Montessorie Training for teachers taken up. The achievements of the school are regularly published in the leading national and regional Newspapers.
“Eurekha Saturdays” – a Programme for the students of Stds. I to VIII to hone the creativity amongst the children in Fine Arts and Sports and the National Service Scheme made a modest beginning. Ez-Vidya Session on teacher empowerment programme with activity Oriented Techniques and Alma Mater to inculcate and to develop the qualities of head and heart was taken up as the new step. Regular multi media education is being promoted to keep pace with times. Department of Environment launched a new innovative programme school on Airway through Ham Net Work. Fire Safety measures have been taken up to meet the crisis in times of emergency. The Activity hour is widening the intellect with training by professional experts. The different divisions include Violin, Veena, Calligraphy, Vocal Music, Band, Art, Tabla, Mridangam, Flute, Bharatanatyam, Craft, Western Dance, Key board related to Fine arts. Karate, Chess and Roller Skating in the area of Sports. Consumer Club was introduced to equip the students socially.
The promising future in the history of the Institution is the establishment of FIIT-JEE study center with full fledged air conditioned facilities provided in the class rooms including Hostel Accommodation. The Professional skills are imparted through the qualified faculty from JUNE -2005 onwards.
The student strength during the academic year 2009-2010 for the CBSE is 4915. The class rooms are spacious and enjoys enormous infrastructural facilities. A new Xerox Machine, 50 new computer systems with latest configuration was purchased. A separate internet connection was made for CBSE Lab from Tataindicom broadband and Wireless. UPS (15 KVA) remained a new addition in the Senior Lab.
