Extra Curricular Activities
In the Psychomotor domain, the school focuses on both physical fitness as well as skill at games. Students are motivated to develop proficiency and skill at games. These activities are designed to promote team building efforts and a healthy balance of the head and the heart. Besides building confidence, these activities go a long way in developing better concentration, focus and above all provide a moral compass to students.
Activity classes are held twice a week in 12 major disciplines including Riding, Cricket, Tennis, etc. These classes are compulsory for students of classes VI to VIII. Other students who wish to participate could also take part. These classes are held on every Monday and Wednesday after school hours.
Students are encouraged to form clubs and societies to promote group learning. NCC, Nasr Nature club, Nasr Riding Club, Nasr Dramatic Society, Nasr Book Club, and Nasr Space Club are some of the clubs which facilitate in the overall grooming. It is perhaps, the common interest that provides the ‘connectivity’ and ‘link’ that brings these students together on a common platform, bounding them socially and intellectually. These clubs lends its students a better perspective and purpose.
The Nasr School was founded in April,1965, by Begum Anees Khan, the founder Principal, who believed that she could successfully co-operate with the parents in the education of their children. Her aim was to provide an all round education for Girls & Boys, which would broaden their experience,broaden their outlook and provide them with the academic and cultural foundation to lead successful and fulfilling lives.
