Inception Sri Chaitanya started its historic journey in 1986 with the inception of a Girls’ Junior College at Vijayawada. And since then there has been no turning back. The inception of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions was the result of a vision rather than the mere setting up of an institution. Our Founders and Mentors, Dr. B. S. Rao garu and Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai garu, were hugely successful in the medical profession and decided to look at a fresh approach to Intermediate level education. A systematised methodology was introduced that changed the very face of education in Andhra Pradesh, for the better. A fresh chapter in the Pre-university stream of education in the state began with the introduction of a more professional approach to teaching and staff management.

The philosohy of Sri Chaitanya has been to offer separate campuses for different streams. The rationale behind this move is to keep the students focused on their primary goal. Each residential campus is usually located in idyllic environs, away from the din and clamor of the city.
Hostel accommodation is offered separately to boys and girls. Round-the-clock vigil is maintained on the campus – especially girls’ hostels to make them feel secure and protected. We believe in offering rigid security for female students to ensure a comfortable ambience for studying as well as privacy.
Library & LabsThe difference between a good student and a smart student is that a good student usually, does not go beyond reading the academic books and is well versed in the subjects. On the other hand a smart student does study the subject books and also makes time to improve his / her general awareness and current affairs. It is such smart students who can take on challenges and also win them, because they are academically sound and also worldly wise.
Sri Chaitanya Campuses are furnished with libraries with a large collection of Subject text-books, Reference books and Daily News Papers and Periodicals. The purpose is to expand the students’ intellectual horizons. The reading rooms facilitate the students to peruse the books and newspapers in peace. Science and Computer Labs
The campuses of Sri Chaitanya offer Science and Computer labs.
Students gain practical experience through demonstrations and experiments in the Biology, Physics and
Chemistry labs. The students learn under the expert guidance of respective subject lecturers.
The computer lab is set up for students to take practice tests online for competitive examinations like BITSAT etc.
Residential CampusApart from the facilities mentioned earlier, the residential campuses are provided with additional infrastructure for the comfort and convenience of students.
Hostel: The hostel is under the supervision of Hostel-in-charge, Assistant hostel-in-charges and wardens. The hostel staff attends to students and ensures that amenities offered to them are in good order. Students are provided with mineral water for drinking 24/7, and hot water for bath everyday.
Health Care: The campus also houses a sick-room for students who are indisposed. A qualified doctor attends to the healthcare of students. Free medicine is given to students who fall sick. Referrals are made to reputed hospitals where required. Parents are kept informed of the health status of students who are indisposed. Periodic check-up is done in areas of dental, eye-sight, and blood pressure.
Dialing Home: Pay phone booths are kept within the hostel premises so that boarders can call parents and keep them posted of their well-being. Students can access only numbers given by parents. Tuck shops within the respective campuses cater to the day to day requirements of the hostelers.
“Healthy body leads to healthy mind”
Food Services : The Mess is one place that students can freely mix with each over meals. Care is taken to prepare food under extremely hygienic conditions with a cosmopolitan spread. Students are offered milk in the mornings and milk/tea in the evening break along with snacks, apart from the regular breakfast, lunch and dinner. Separate floors are allotted for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian students. Food is tasted by the administrative staff first before it is served to students to ensure quality and proper cooking. Of course no food can match food prepared at home. But best efforts are put in to ensure that students relish food on campus. After all the campus is their home for two years.
Extra Curricular Activities
Training Camps for Staff
The Principal, as head of the campus must take responsibility in making the staff - teaching and administrative - competent, by conducting training programmes periodically. The teaching staff are exposed to innovative academic programmes by the Directors and evolve competent skills in delivering the same effectively in the classrooms.
Orientation programmes are conducted for the administrative staff to enable them to cope with their responsibilities better. Training sessions are conducted during holidays / vacations, through workshops on various methodologies. We also groom Junior Lecturers to take up teaching tasks.
Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools has introduced the tradition of conducting training programmes, state-wide, through workshops in all subjects at the pre-primary, primary and high school levels periodically, especially during vacation. The interactive sessions bring out the best in all and encourage knowledge sharing among faculty. Subject co-ordinators plan short term sessions during the term-end vacation, and hold long term sessions for fresh recruits and existing teachers before the commencement of a fresh academic year.
The training includes orientation besides subject delivery methodology through Sri Chaitanya study material and work books. The material is devised and prepared by subject experts / content writers of Sri Chaitanya in respective subjects.
