The Apeejay Schools bear the motto "Shakti, Drishti, Prajyan". Our effort is to reach for the sky for physical, mental and spiritual growth of the child and the pursuit of excellence in all these fields is a relentless and a limitless quest. The schools strive to achieve peaks of excellence in the academic field as well in life itself through a large variety of curriculum and co-curriculum projects.
Apeejay Schools help the child to learn while growing. We believe that before children learn to read or write, they must effectively be trained to communicate intelligently and with confidence. They must nurture a rational mind capable of comprehending the world and its happenings....
We aim to avoid the mediocrity of conventional learning and sincerely wish to share the joy of moulding spiritual and secure human beings contented with their achievements.
The schools are under the management of the renowned industrial house of Apeejay Surrendra, who are intimately involved in community welfare activities in the social, cultural and educational spheres.
The schools are sponsored by a registered body "Apeejay Education Trust" who are dedicated to the quest for excellence.

The canopy of the school was embedded with 50 children and 5 teachers at 15, Park Street in the year 1975 and in 1980 the institution shifted to its present building. Now we can boast of more than 2000 happy children.
In 1986 our batch of children for secondary examinations (CBSE) were sent. In 1998 we sent our first batch of students for senior secondary examination (CBSE) in three streams-Humanities, Science and Commerce examination. The growth of the school from 50 students and 5 teachers to its present strength would not have been possible without the active involvement and encouragement from a very positive school Managing Committee headed by Late Mr. Jit Paul andMrs. Shirin Paul (Chairperson) .
We intend to spread our umbrella with a galaxy of schools all over Kolkata.

What is life without Music - definitely barren and dreary. The Music Club of Apeejay Schools fill the hearts and minds of the Apeejayities rhythm and melody. Ours is an "inclusive" club which throws open its doors to all children of the school during cultural programmes like School Concerts Rabindra Jayanti celebrations, Independence Day Programmes and the Winter Warmth carolings. We aim to teach our children to appreciate music in all its forms both vocal and instrumental as well as songs and tunes of the Orient and the Occident. Special emphasis is given to patriotic songs in order to encourage the spirit of National Integration among the children.
The children participating in various Intra and Inter -School events and children have won many prizes.
Cultural heritage of India is incomplete without the wealth of our classical dance and music. Classical dances are the base of the dances which prevail in India.
Dances from all states are taught in the Dance Club of our school. Fusion dances are also given equal importance. Under the guidance of extremely talented and qualified teachers the students of this club have won prizes in various inter-school competitions. It is one of those club of our school which goes a longway to increase the spirit of co-curricular activities among children.
The dance group of talented dancers not only participate in Republic Day, Independence Day but also in the school's Annual Concert which has nearly about 350 participants. The Dance club also participates very actively in well known school fest and meets where it has won many prizes for our school.
The Dance club is not only the most favourite club but also the most popular club because it fills all the school programmes with lots and lots of colour, music, spirit and enthusiasm. The Dance Club and Singing Club together contribute in building up Apeejay's high spirit in the true sense
CLUBS AND THEIR ACTIVITIES
We have various Clubs in our school. 2 periods per week is devoted to these Clubs.
ENGLISH DRAMA CLUB
The English Drama Club is quite an active club staging plays throughout the year and winning prizes in various inter school fests. The club is perfect for those who are keenly interested in dramatics and have some hidden talent in them. Over the years students under the able guidance of their teachers have staged superb plays, which are comedy, thrillers as well as satires. The children of the club have won prizes in the British Council Drama Competition, Patton One Act Play Competition, Smarak Kosh, and other inter-school fests and many others. This club provides a student with knowledge and entertainment and gives them a platform to hone their histrionic skills. This year the club along with the AKLF team launched the first Children's Inter School Street Theatre Festival. It was a grand success with many schools participating in the event.
BENGALI DRAMA CLUB
The Bengali Drama and Cultural Club of Apeejay Schools has always held the position of our Bengali tradition high. It has also helped us to potray that even in the midst of English Babu's dress there has been a dhoti clad Bengali hidden within us. Every festival in the school is celebrated with great pomp and show. But whenever there has been an event or a festival, there has not been a lack of enthusiasm and support from the teachers and the students of different clubs. This has been the only reason why we have so far been able to present interesting and entertaining events. It is very common scene in the school premises where we see teachers and students working together to put up a show for the next special occasion.
HINDI DRAMA CLUB
In this club we make projects on the upcoming festivals. The members participate actively in all the projects. This time Hindi Drama club members participated in Spicmacay programme which was a grand success. Hindi Drama club also organizes Essay writing competition on Hindi Divas. Every week we discuss a topic and do project on that topic.
