Little Scholars Playschool and Montessori House lays the foundation for intellectual, moral, emotional, physical, social, and competence in our students. We believe each child possesses a unique personality and learning style. Our skilled teachers respect the intrinsic value in each child and foster a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We create individualized learning environments that make education engaging, substantive, and fun.
Children at Little Scholars construct their own pathway through the curriculum according to their own learning styles, personal interests and pace of learning. For this reason our classrooms are not bound by a timetable. Children work on their own, in pairs or small groups as they choose, and take a break as their needs dictate. In this way every child can receive a flexible and enriched experience, rather than being confined to a teacher-directed program. At the end of Year 5, the children who leave us will be well-prepared to take on further study at any primary school. One of the things which make our school different from others in the area is our faithful application of the principles of Montessori education. This holistic and child-centred philosophy offers children a full preparation for their lives ahead, with attention to all facets of their development.

Infrastructure at our play school has been specially designed to suit the young, bouncy and eager preschoolers, keeping in mind their inquisitive and explorative nature. The arrangements at our play schools promote learning through, and with, fun and cheer. The bright facade of our play school buildings and the clean, colorful interiors combine in creating the perfect atmosphere for the children to 'react' in and pick up the basic skills. At our play schools, there are no formal classrooms, just thematic rooms like an aqua room, audio-visual room, art and craft room and so on.

Our vision is to educate the whole child, nurturing the love of learning that lies within through a Montessori guided education where children gain appreciation and respect for themselves, others, nature, the arts, the community in which they live and society.
Our mission is to nurture and develop each child to their fullest potential physically, intellectually, socially, creatively and emotionally. Our mission ensures that the child is academically motivated, artistically creative, physically active and emotionally supported.
Our philosophy is to impart knowledge and provide opportunities to learn life skills, which together support the development of the whole person and provide the foundation for purposeful, responsible and fulfilling education. This philosophy, adapted from Montessori principles and tailored by developmental teachers, is evident in all our programs, and is characterised by:
- Respect for the child
- A responsive environment prepared with multisensory, sequential, and self-correcting materials to support self-directed learning
- Observant educators trained to assess learning styles, paces, and trajectories.
- Purposeful activity as the engine of whole-person growth.
- Freedom of movement and choice to interact with peers and select activities.
- Uninterrupted time to finish an activity successfully, thus building self-esteem.
- A "personal best" approach, eliminating peer-competition in favor of self-motivation.
