Mr.P.K. Bhagchandka, an industrialist by profession and a Philantropist by nature, has founded the P.B. Academic School under the Lakhi Paramatma Charitable Trust with the sole aim of imparting good all-round education to the young children and to enable them to imbibe good values of discipline and morality along with academic excellence. The trust has been formed in the name of his parents,Late shri Lakhi Prasad Bhagchandka and Shrimati Paramatma Devi Bhagchandka.
Mr.P.K. Bhagchandka is very much aware of the need for English medium education amongst the middle class people who cannot afford such education in the elite schools of Kolkata due to the limited seats for admission. His aim is to run the school as a non-profitable institution for the welfare of the children.

Library is very well stocked with over 3000 titles and space for children o browse and selected books. An experienced librarian helps children to locate relevant books.
Computer lab has computers guided by a trained teacher to teach children the power of computers and software’s. Computer education begins from K.G.
Science lab ensures that children understand and appreciates the power of exploration and experiments. The visits to the science lab are part of regular curriculum whereby teacher and students can conduct experiments to learn and validate the concepts.
School also has a well stocked sick room with a trained nurse for the motherly caring of children as when required. School has a well organized transport arrangement for the children to come safely to the school. The school service staff, security staff is very well trained for their respective jobs. There are Ayahs for the young children. The school’s education is in live with the curriculum of the Council for India.
Extra Curricular Activities
Karate has been introduced from class IV onwards. A 30 minutes session per week for Karate and Material Arts helps children to host a positive mental and physical posture both at school and at home. Character like Self defense and Physical fitness also accompanies it. Karate promotes leadership, skills in children to help them succeed in life and increase speed, stamina and strength in children. Karate sessions are also helpful for children in other sports and activities.
A 30 minutes dance class per week has been included in our school from classes III-IX to develop a sense of rhythm and music among the children. Through these dance classes pupil not only get an idea of different dance forms of different provinces but they are also able to connect themselves to the rich classical art forms practiced in our country.
A 30 minutes session of tabla training has newly begun in our school since last year. In this process students are taught to understand the details of different beat cycles and intricate rhythm structures. However, these table lessons help to generate sincerely and determination among the pupils in the long run.
A 30 minutes yoga session per week has been introduced in our school from classes’ I-XII to develop a sense of well being in the student’s concentration. Yoga helps the children to find harmony between the mind and the body. Students develop proper breathing habits. Regular practice of yogic postures enhances the ability of students to concentrate, to deal with impulse behavior and to think more clearly.
