Bhaurao Patil was born at Kumbhoj, on 22nd September,1887. Education, he thought, was a key to solution of many of the problems of the masses in the rural areas. He made it a mission of his life and established Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in 1919 to educate the masses who for centuries were deprived of educational facilities.This was Herculean task.

The school comprises of a single building in 'U'shape.
The Primary and the secondary sections are held in the same building in two different shifts.
There are four divisions of each standard for classes 1-4 and three divisions of each standard for classes 5-10 .
