At Vivero, we don’t teach ‘classes’, we teach individuals. Believing teaching is not a one-size-fits-all automated process, but an intentional and purposeful endeavour. The cornerstone of our approach is respect for each child.
Our teachers observe each child, and tailor instructions to suit the individual needs of that child. The curriculum at Vivero is grounded in current research and developments in the field of early childhood education. In particular the work of The Centre on the Developing Child and HGSE at Harvard University; the International Baccalaureate (IB) and, the Infant and Toddler Centres of Reggio Emilia. Our academic leadership team has visited these centres of excellence and customized Vivero’s curriculum to ensure effective instruction in our Indian context.
Fundamental to our beliefs is the importance of all round development of the child – emotional, physical, cognitive and social. Our curriculum leverages "early learning goals" from the Early Years
Foundation Stage (EYFS), UK and establishes broad developmentally appropriate learning goals for each learning area and age-group. Our educators then access a child’s knowledge and structure specific learning environments and experiences, which support that child’s progress towards identified goals. These experiences are play-based, hands-on and experiential in nature. They ensure deeper enjoyment, with an understanding of concepts and ideas.
Each child is observed and assessed individually, and their work and progress documented in a special portfolio that is shared with each parent, allowing them to be a part of their child’s life at school.
Extra Curricular Activities
Child Care Plus
We create a warm and family-oriented environment where your child is observed, encouraged and supported by our expert care-providers, thereby ensuring you a stress-free time at work. We offer the following child care programmes:
• Infant Programme
• Toddler Programme
• Pre-schooler Programme
We offer a learning programme for parents to understand and discover the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the child in the very early years. This programme is ideal for parents with toddlers aged 10 to 18 months.
Extra-curricular activities like cooking, music, art, dance and more give children the opportunity to demonstrate special talents, to find fulfillment outside the academic routine, and to enjoy the school experience even more.
The Summer Camp is a program that is conducted for a period of one month during the summer break. It’s a theme based program capturing the interest of the children through art, craft, literacy and music. It helps the children to spend some quality time together with different peer groups adding a new dimension to their existing knowledge.
‘VIVERO’ is Spanish for a place where life is nurtured.
We take pride in saying we are not just a pre-school but a place where children are nurtured to be life-long learners and global citizens.
At Vivero, we respect children as unique individuals, innate with limitless potential, curious and interested in their world around them. We acknowledge children as sophisticated thinkers and communicators, adopting hundreds of languages to share their thoughts and feelings. We embrace our role in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment, where curiosity can be celebrated, understanding enhanced, and reciprocal conversations with trained facilitators encouraged.
Education at Vivero is more than imparting knowledge; it’s about encouraging children to do significant things with what they’ve learnt.
