My Tutoring Approach

Q: What areas of physics do you specialize in, and what level of physics do you usually teach?

I have good command in field of electromagnetism, electronics and mechanics and usually I teach at intermediate level and then based on the output from the student I will go to the advanced level.

Q: How do you approach explaining complex physics concepts to students in a way that they can understand?

Firstly I will try to explain with the help of diagram so that student can visualise the situtation in his mind. Along with this I try to relate the problem with real life situation.

Q: Do you have experience with students who struggle with physics, and how do you support them in their learning?

Yes, during my teaching days at academy there were two students who has poor concepts of the physics and their command over mathematics was also poor. I gave them special treatment in class and firstly helped them to build their confidence in mathematics. Without mathematics you can't be good in physics. Then I worked on their areas of problems with physics and with the basic level to intermediate level teaching, I tried to get them back on track. And this strategy worked on them and they passed their exams with good marks.

Q: How do you ensure that your physics lessons are aligned with the student's school curriculum or syllabus?

My teaching strategy goes from basic level to intermediate level and after the response from students I move to the advanced level. In my basic level, I start with student's school curriculum and in my intermediate level, I move to the practicing good numerical problems related with the topics. And in advanced level, we will go for good conceptual topics for JEE/ NEET exams.

Q: What is your teaching methodology and how do you structure your physics lessons to meet the needs of individual students?

My teaching strategy goes from basic level to intermediate level and after the response from students I move to the advanced level. Practicing good numerical problems is best way for good conceptual understanding. Thus in my physics lessons I try to take two or three problems related to each and every topics targetting the needs and understanding levels of individual students.

Q: Can you give examples of how you make physics interesting and engaging for students?

If you can relate with the problem then it will be easier to solve. I try to connect the students with real life use of physics and in this way they can easily understand the concepts. Practicing the numerical problems will boost the confidence of the students and they will start to love the physics. I never go to remember the concepts, rather than I always go to understand the concepts. If you remember the things you will forget it one day but if you understand the things it stays always with you.
